Strength is Made Perfect in Weakness – Realizing the Power of God

By | March 15, 2018

Did you know that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness?

Let’s face it. Nobody wants to admit that they are weak. But we are more than willing to show off how strong we are, even if we aren’t in that moment.

That’s why admitting that you are weak, takes courage. What’s more, it requires a willingness to let God be in control of your life.

As a matter of fact, in scripture we are told…

“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

Believe it or not, there is strength in vulnerability and weakness in pretending you are strong when you need help.

That’s why, when we are weak, we must be willing to take that weakness to God in prayer and meditation.

We must be willing to let go of our desire to be strong and surrender to God’s will.

In all ways acknowledge that God is your strength and power. In prayer, tap into the power of God within you. Realize that you are whole, complete and lacking in nothing.

God’s strength is made perfect in weakness!

When I am weak, I let God be my strength and power.

A prayer from the heart to consider when you feel weak is…

“God, give me the grace and the humility to be weak, especially when I try to be strong. Amen”

When you are honest with yourself and with God by acknowledging when you are weak and need help. In all ways, that’s when, God’s power is made perfect in weakness.

No doubt about it, with a clean heart God blesses us for being honest.

It takes courage and faith to acknowledge your fears.

Give thanks with a grateful heart and humble yourself before God. Be willing to pray for help. Surrender to God’s will.

The fact of the matter is, it’s harder to live a life of joy when you aren’t willing to accept or acknowledge your weaknesses.

At the same time, God blesses us when we are willing to admit that we are weak and need God’s help.

In the end, spend time in prayer and meditation. Trust that you can let God’s strength be made perfect in your weakness.
