Attitude of Gratitude – How to Develop a Grateful Heart

First of all, an attitude of gratitude is much more than simply recognizing the blessings in your life.  You also must be willing to acknowledging them and allow yourself to appreciate your blessings in the form of praise and thanks.

Developing an attitude of gratitude is about realizing that the more grateful you are the more grateful you will become.

The fact of the matter is, even the challenges and struggles of life bring you opportunities to be blessed. Let’s face it, sometimes we don’t understand why the challenges and struggles of life are happening while they are happening.

Yet, if you can maintain an attitude of gratitude, when you look back, sooner rather than later… You will clearly see that it turned out for the greater good after all.

That’s why even If you don’t understand things right now, keep moving forward, maintain a positive attitude and be grateful for all the blessings in your life.

What is gratitude?

Simply stated, gratitude is the spiritual practice of taking nothing for granted.

Believe it or not, one of my favorite bible verse about gratitude is Matthew 13:12.

What Matthew 13:12 basically says is when you are grateful, you will have an abundance of blessings in your life. Yet, when you are not grateful, you will struggle to realize all the blessings that are already yours.

The fact of the matter is, gratitude changes you. Gratitude leads to empowered thoughts, positive feelings, and a general sense of all is well in the world.

A simple prayer of gratitude or gratitude meditation that will work wonders in your life is…

Thank you God, Thank you God, Thank you God!!!

Trust me, when you start finding more and more things to be grateful for and truly appreciating all the blessings in your life. Each day, physically and emotionally you will start feeling happier and lighter.

In the end, when you maintain an attitude of gratitude, you will truly understand that you are blessed beyond measure.
