If you have ever looked at two Lovers walking together in the mall or down the street you might have noticed something rather interesting; first off they are probably extremely alert and aware of whoever they happen to be in LOVE with in the moment and secondly the rest of the world doesn’t even exists in that moment for them.
And as you can imagine that is why one of the Pathways to BEING LOVE is Alertness, as when you are able to live in a moment fully aware and attentive of everything or simply one thing whether you realize it or not you are actually fully present in the moment, and being fully present in the moment is where the state of BEING LOVE happens to reside.
However, let’s be honest, how many of us for whatever reasons don’t actually reside or find ourselves in a state of being fully alert and present.
How many of us go to our jobs and rather than being fully present and alert to what is happening now in this moment find ourselves waiting for the next break, next call, or next distraction, while also trying to complete whatever tasks are before us.
If you are anything like me, how many times have you found yourself driving down the road in your car while at the same time trying to find a station that is playing a song on the radio that you like, or even worse driving and texting/talking on the phone?
In fact, how many people do you know that take Pride in their ability to multi-task from moment to moment.
You might even be eating or drinking something even now as you read this!
I think I’ve said enough about Alertness or the lack of it so let’s get a general definition for it so we can develop this Pathway even more.
Alertness – Fully aware and attentive; wide-awake; keen.
Now, with that definition in mind, go ahead and get your BEING LOVE notebook out and on the top of a Page write…
"Times I have been fully alert!"
Since we have already discussed what alertness is and isn’t I imagine you can begin to recall plenty of times when you were fully alert, aware and attentive so write them down so that you can recognize the moments in the future when you decide to go there again and again in order to give yourself a Pathway to BEING LOVE.
