It’s a fact of life that we all have certain beliefs and ideas about LOVE. Yet, have you actually ever taken the time to examine your beliefs about LOVE to dive deep within your state of BEING and examine your current beliefs about LOVE?
Believe it or not, if you are seriously interested in learning how to live in a state of BEING LOVE then sooner or later you are going to have to challenge your old beliefs about LOVE or at least look at them in order to see in what ways they are preventing you from BEING LOVE now.
Of course, the good news is that simply by continuing to read everything I have to say about BEING LOVE you will undoubtedly find yourself bumping up against some of your old beliefs about LOVE and in that way you can rest in knowing that indeed you are embarking upon a journey into the state of BEING LOVE.
However, the quicker you allow yourself to become consciously aware of your old beliefs about LOVE the quicker you can examine said beliefs in order to clearly see which beliefs might be preventing you from BEING LOVE now.
When you are ready to examine your old beliefs about LOVE now the first thing you are going to want to do is get a notebook and on top of one of the pages ask yourself…
"What Does Love Mean to Me?"
And from there just start writing down whatever comes to mind. You will want to spend at least a few minutes writing down what comes to your mind and realize that you want to capture your full meaning of LOVE which means that some of your meanings for LOVE might actually contradict each other.
Then, once you have written down everything you think LOVE is, look over your list and ask yourself which ones actually are contributing to your experience of BEING LOVE more. Once you have noticed which ones contribute to your state of BEING LOVE feel free to keep these. After that, consider which ones might actually be getting in the way of BEING LOVE now (some pretty common ones are I’m too old, too fat, too skinny, too shy, too unattractive to LOVE, or it hurts when I LOVE someone or something)
Once you become consciously aware of many of your beliefs about LOVE that aren’t serving you in this moment now you have the opportunity to let go of those old beliefs or if that is too much to do right now you can simply allow yourself to notice each time you hold back from entering a state of BEING LOVE because of a belief around LOVE that is no longer and oftentimes never was serving you.
